September 14, 2015

Here a sum up of Sunday that I spent with my little girl. Sunny day, perfect weather. Bit hard to ask her to go out, just because Sunday is super lazyday.

This evening my husband came back from Boston…. Yeayyy!
She wanted spaghetti. Only spaghetti, it shouldn’t be other thing. Look at that, I used fork while she was with chopstick. She is so Korean.

Next: a cafe of course. This one is a cafe with flower shop attached. Name is De Bowbi. Bit pricey but really nice.

What we ordered. All good!

Strawberry banana juice for her. She choosed the cake.

Of course, latte is mine.

Third stop: Monday Market flower shop. We always excited to visit one.

She picked red roses. Behind her are dried flowers.

There was a clothing store with sale infront. I ended up with this jacket jeans (I think already have one).

There you go! A dayout with no Dad.

So, this is another visit day to Buamdong. A friend grabbed me to join her craving day of Buamdong chicken, and of course coffee and chit chat time thru’ the night with the falling snow. We found this coffee shop, the name is LUMBERJACK. I would to go back there.

Not so much snow

What we had: Latte, cappuccino, and tiramisu —> all good

Sure I’ll take the pic

And yes another pic

Oh come on…

No regret

The buddy that night: Martha!

Thick foam which I think it’s beautiful ( I know I’m a weirdo)

Some accessories. This place is like a temporary room (but solid enough) that they built stick to the outside wall of someone’s house, and resulted in very unique concept.

Even there is a space for family

This was our spot, right next to the counter and huge window to see the view and falling snow: perfect!

수다 (Suda): A coffeeshop in Mullae art village

I’ve been to this Mullae art village district few times, and this time I found a nice coffeshop around there. An Indonesian Balinese artist introduced this place during his visit to Seoul for a collaboration artwork with Korean artists. I grabbed a time to see them, and really nice to know them.

The name is 수다 (Suda), when you go out from exit 7 of Mullae station (line 2), just go straight, this place is before the traffic light, you can find it easily. The owner of this coffeeshop is an artist, so imagine the place is a very unique. Price is good, coffees are good, and most important is the perfect atmosphere.

A book cafe: 작업실

Another going out day for taking pictures or find comfy place for a coffee, well I don’t really drink coffee but cappuccino is my favorite.

I took off from subway Sangsu station (line 6) and walked along to the Hongik University. There were so much changing since the last time I visited back on 2009. This district is famous for the night life. I almost didn’t recognize this area on the day time I visited. If you want to have some fun time during the dawn, this district provides all, restaurants, night club, bar, karaoke, cafe, or for shopping.

I moved my steps to another way, Hapjeong area. This district is famous for restaurants and coffee shops, and I found one cute coffee shop. 작업실 (Jakopsil), a book cafe, I’ve read a review about this cute place before and unexpectedly found it. Very nice place, quite and comfy. The location is not on the main street and you might not really notice about it once you pass by. I was thr only customer at that time, maybe it is because the lunch hour already finished. I like the way the decorate this place with some signature notes or pictures from customers.

Here are some snaps from 작업실

Momo Cot: another sweet corner of Garosugil

This is the second time I had a chance to visit Garosugil-Sinsadong, the famous street with fancy and cute stores, coffee shops, and lifestyle restaurants. My me time is usually spent in a cute coffee shop with one or two friends. This time I am talking about a cute coffee shop just in a corner from lots of corner of Garosugil dictrict. Momo Cot has the cat theme of cafe. The place is cute, warm, comfy, and quite good coffee, though not as good as the high quality coffee in my definition.

Le Alaska: A charming bakery in Apgujoeng

Spending time in a coffee shop is probably one of my favorite things. With family, a friend(s), or just being alone, I am up for it. I do really enjoy the atmosphere in a coffee shop. In Seoul, there are many coffee shops (cafe) more than you expect, and the number is still climb up.

I spent my me time around Apgujeong area with one of my besties. Day was full with girls chitchat during lunch and second round in a coffee shop. It is Le Alaska, this place is more a bakery than a coffee shop, pretty old style of place that quite my kind. They make very beautiful breads and pastries, along with perfect taste. Nevertheless, they make good coffee as well with the size of a bowl. Indeed, I like!
