My first french toast

So this is the first time I made french toast. I never thought that would be so easy and simple.

I’m glad with the result, taste good, looks lovely just like when you buy in brunch cafe for insane price (at least for me).

Here is the recipe (works for my reminder), and the amount is up to you:

Milk bread (not too thin slices)

Egg

Milk

Cinnamon

Butter

Mix the milk+egg+cinnamon. Batter the bread with the mixture for few minutes. Heat the pan and melt the butter. Fry the battered bread just like a toast.

Enjoy the toast with anything you like. Here I used icing sugar for the sprinkle (most of people use maple syrup), ate it with smoked salmon and scramble egg.

Sure to make it again.

Baking

I just bought an electric oven by online few days ago and so ready to try it on. Baking seems easier way to cook for me because I just have to mix them up and put in inside the oven while I can do other things, and also it less oil.
First trial was to make apple crumble. Grabbed the easy recipe from Donna Hay eventhough I’ve made apple crumble with different recipes many times. It turned out very tasty…

My version of mandu

It is mandu (만두) in Korean cuisine, or gyoza (餃子) in Japanese, or jiaozi (饺子) in Chinese, or we’ve known as dumpling. I really like this food. Here in Korea is hardly for me to eat mandu because it usually contains some amount of pork even they call it seafood of vegetables mandu. Trying to make my own mandu is for the sake of safety zone.
My mandu contains only vegetables, was too lazy to go out and get some shrimps.
What’s inside?
tofu, leek, carrot, mushroom, onion, noodles, bit or salt and pepper..
Here they are:

Today’s: shrimp and baby octopus in red sauce

Got some shrimp and baby octopus for 50% off, and I couldn’t resist to buy them.
낙지 (nakji) or small octopus is quite famous in Korea cuisine, if you get a chance to come here, try to eat the nakji dishes, or if you dare enough try the 산낙지 (sannakji)/raw baby small octopus.
Here is very easy to get small octopus with cheap price. I use to cook shrimp with oyster sauce and tomato, but this time I add some nakji, with 고추장 (gochujang)/korean chili paste for a slightly spicy taste.

Well the sauce wasn’t red anymore, because the ink split out from those babies…

And I found an alien

Tuna Spaghetti

Dulu kalo dirumah biasa masak spageti pake daging giling. Bikin spageti ala g mudah koq, cuman diresepnya g ga pernah pake ukuran, jadi semua dikira2 aja sesuai feeling..:D

tuna spageti

What?

Pasta, bentuk apa aja terserah

minyak goreng atau olive oil juga boleh

tuna kaleng, pilih yg mild aja

tomat segar, dipotong halus atau dadu2 biar nanti gampang hancurnya

saus tomat, merek apa aja tapi g ga suka yg asam, sukanya yg cenderung manis

Cheddar or parmesan cheese

Ingredients

bawang bombay, iris halus

bawang putih, cincang halus

garam

gula, dikit aja soalnya udah manis dari saus tomat

merica/lada putih

Oregano

How?

3. masukan tuna, tumis sebentar.

4. masukan tomat segar, garam, sedikit gula, dan merica, masak sampai tomatnya hancur.

5. tambahkan saus tomat, ini banyaknya bener2 sesuai selera.

6. kemudian masukan oregano, ada beberapa org yg suka bgt sama oregano (g suka..) jadi jumlahnya bisa disesuaikan selera. masak sampai semua bahan kecampur rata.

7. masukan sedikit air, tapi kalau dirasa udah cukup air dari tomatnya ga perlu tambahin air.

8. masak sampai kental.

9. sajikan pasta dengan disirami sausnya, tambahkan taburan keju diatasnya biar mantabbbbb….

*selamat mencoba…
